Souvenir Floor Lamp

A totem-like floor lamp inspired by gateways and portals. The Souvenir Series is an exploration in identity and cultural narratives, in order to bridge new memories with embodied imagination. The lamps, as vessels of illumination, contemplate the idea of spiritual beacons and gateways. Drawing upon artifacts of history, the lamps create an aesthetic and conceptual connection to rituals and how they symbolically mark a transition from the mundane to the sacred.

Images shown in American black walnut. Each piece comes with a unique live edge slab at the center cross beam. The floating brass cylinder is a dimmable touch switch that hangs over a bed of rocks, reminiscent of a wind chime in a garden.
